Montreal’s Lankhmar was formed in 1987 as a leather-bound hard rock and heavy metal band. D’Aoust and Bedard were previous band-mates. A demo called Introducing Nothing appeared in 1988. The group opened for Anvil in Montreal and Quebec City. The band’s line-up entered the Karisma Studio and issued a cassette album called Prejudiced in 1989 courtesy of local financiers Osmosis Records. The band also appeared on Musique Plus and played in its home province.
The group changed its name to the streamlined Lankmar and with a new line-up issued the Lankmar album through the Tox label. Charpentier was now called ‘Carpenter.’ - http://www.metallian.com/lankhmar.php
